Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) aka: the Chicken Hawk

Red-tailed hawk having a quick meal in my back yard. I was able to get within 5 feet of him (or her?) to take these pictures. The closer I got, the meaner his stares got! Probably the best wildlife encounter of my life.
